“With All Thy Getting, Get Understanding"

-Proverbs 4:7

Stephanie K. The Woman

Stephanie K. a.k.a Sage the coach is a Christian author, bible teacher, speaker, instructor, speaker, podcast host of "Real Talk About Life & Relationships", and multi-certified and master life and relationship coach. She was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois but she has called Minnesota her home since 2015. She has a bachelor's in liberal arts and sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago and holds several life coaching certifications and is currently working on others. She has also been a born-again Christian for almost 20 years, has served in various roles in the church, and has solid training and education in Biblical studies.

The Christian

Stephanie was born into a Christian family, but did not accept Christ for herself until she had a profound experience at 15 years old.  However, due to her lack of understanding and personal struggles, she was unable to remain consistent in living a Christian lifestyle until she was 23. Nevertheless, since 15, Stephanie claims that God has been a guiding light in her life and that their relationship began with Him providing answers to the questions she was unable to find answers for on her own. She credits her relationship with God to helping her overcome deep trauma from abuse, depression, and debilitating struggles with her worth, purpose, and identity.  Her passion and love for God and truth are undeniable and an encouragement to all those she is able to share it with.

The Growth & Transformation Coach

Stephanie was a coach well before she attained the title as she always found herself encouraging people, giving advice, providing resounding spiritual insight, and directing people towards solutions to their struggles. Whether among family and friends, in a grocery store, or walking in the park, she has always been ready to help those who appear to be in need of comfort, direction, encouragement, or simply a listening ear. Specializing in growth and transformation, she understands from a plethora of personal experience and training the steps neccessary to overcoming the obstacles needed for lasting change.

Among her peers and clients she is known for being compassionate, kind, real, seeing the potential in others, and always speaking froim her heart. She brings all of these qualities and more to her coaching style and considers it a privilege to be able to help those along the journey of life the way God has helped her.  Her life coaching certifications are in: general life coaching, empowerment, self-care, confidence, emotional intelligence, people pleaser, transformation, spirituality, group coaching, relationship workshop facilitator, as well as master life coaching in self-care and boundary setting.

The Author

Before Stephanie was a life coach, Christian, mother, wife, or author, she was a writer. Her knack for it began to surface as early as 2nd grade, where she started writing short stories and reading them in class. Over the years, her stories grew to plays, poetry, and a few novels. It wasn't long before she had a solid reputation as a writer among her family, friends, classmates, and teachers.

What made her writing unique was its depth, introspection, and the creative ways in which she depicted the struggles of life at such a young age. Such deep contemplation was always followed by the will, self-reflection, and determination necessary to overcome personal pitfalls and struggles. Her difficult family life, coupled with the backdrop of Chicago's inner city, provided ample inspiration for the complex stories she wrote and the questions they posed and attempted to answer.

The unique voice and perspective that she wrote from was only strengthened in high school and especially college, where she began writing more thought-provoking and controversial non-fiction and essays. Over the years, Stephanie entered several writing competitions, had a few things published, wrote various articles, and attended writing workshops. She had potential in a handful of subjects but felt destined to be a writer.

It was no surprise when the depth and questions that arose in her writing eventually led her to Christ at 19. Trying to understand life from her new Christ-centered perspective is where her writing seemed to finally find its home. The often complicated and challenging journey of life, as well as the path God led her down to find clarity, became a key fixture in the pieces she produced.

For her, it became clear that her gift for writing was a means by which she was not only equipped with the ability to find answers to her own questions but to share these experiences and lessons she learned with others. In doing so, she hopes to highlight a path of light in this often dark and confusing world by helping others find the same answers, peace, and healing she discovered and continues to grow in.

Stephanie is the author of  "Speak To The Spirit," which is a book of inspirational and insightful poems that depict the struggles many women encounter in their quest for love, God, identity, understanding, and purpose. She also wrote "God, Why Am I Not Married? 9 Reasons You Might Still Be Single", is a non-fiction self-help Bible-based book released in 2018. It was written over five years as she often had to put it aside to tend to her growing family and responsibilities. The 300+ page book has since been revised and is now sold as a series. This book also explores the struggles many women experience in their search for companionship, a fulfilling marriage, and the role God plays in them both.
